An assassin Islamic terrorist with ties to Hezbollah was assassinated in Damascus, Syria on February 2008. That person was Imad Mugniyah. Mugniyah was no doubt the darling of the Muslim Middle East. He had no trouble associating with Shi’ites and Sunnis alike. Mugniyah was a Commander within Hezbollah which is Shi’ite and Iranian influenced. He also had close associations with Usama bin Laden. He was quite the indiscriminant homicidal killer of Westerners, Jews and even Muslims.
Mugniyah even founded his own offshoot terrorist organization with the appellation of Islamic Jihad. He notoriously murdered hundreds of U.S. Marines in Lebanon. Bombed and killed Jews at Israeli foreign embassies. He is noted for bombing the Khobar Towers in the heartland of Dar al-Islam; i.e. Saudi Arabia.
Although Israel has not officially claimed the glory for assassinating Mugniyah in Damascus, it is widely agreed by Western and Islamic international political watchers that Israel is the culprit hero.
So here is the thing. The Middle East and particular medieval minded Muslims living there are really into the vengeance blood libel thing. Since Israel is the perceived hero that terminated the Islamic lunatic murderer, it is widely expected the Islamic group – Hezbollah – who Mugniyah was associated with will seek payment for the blood libel.
Hence a war of words has been exchanged between Israel and Hezbollah. Lee Smith writing for Hudson Institute speculates that the war of words may elevate into an actual war (again) between Israel and Hezbollah.
Of course the geopolitics involved in another war against Hezbollah in Lebanon is that Hezbollah is a client terrorist organization of Twelver-Shi’ite psycho Iran. Currently Iran is on a path to build a nuclear arsenal and has not been shy about publicly saying that Israel needs to be wiped off the map.
Israel in its turn has not been shy about saying the existence of a nuclear Iran is unacceptable.
So people may be wondering, “What would Iran do in another armed conflict between Israel and Hezbollah?”
I think that is the incorrect question.
The question should be as Israel finds an excuse to invade Lebanon because Hezbollah acts of vengeance in Israel or toward Israelis in foreign lands: Will Israel use an invasion of Lebanon to make a stealth attack on Iranian nuke locations?
After all it assumed that Iran would unleash Hezbollah on Israel anyway if an attack on Iranian nuke facilities occurred. Why not engage Hezbollah preemptively as a distraction then artfully attack Iranian nuke sites?
Sure Israel will be castigated by the Western Left and maybe some token vitriol by surrounding Sunni Muslim nations; nonetheless if Hezbollah gives Israel a good chance to invade Lebanon to punish a transnational terrorist organization that is utilizing a near puppet Lebanese government as a base, Israel should preemptively invade Lebanon then strike Iran nuke sites.
I believe the Sunni Arab nations will secretly be happy that Israel made an effort to set the Iranian nuke program behind if not lucky enough to obliterate it completely.
Syria would be the only wild card in this scenario. Syria has some kind of aggression pact with Iran and is the Iranian conduit to supply Hezbollah militarily (and probably the Sunni Hamas movement as well). Syria has a history of gutlessness when the possibility that war may mean a regime change of the Assad family from power. On the other hand Assad’s Syria may use this as an excuse in trying to retake the Golan Heights lost to Israel in 1967 after Syria (one of a few Arab nations) invaded the Land of Israel.
GO ISRAEL!

In America the word “axis” has often been politically charged to refer to evil nations. Politically an “axis” seems to involve three nations. For example in WWII the Allies (the victors) battled the Axis powers; viz. the Nazi Third Reich, Fascist Italy and Imperial Japan.
Most would consider the Axis powers as heinously evil with unwilling Italians be ruled by a Fascist government. Incidentally I say “unwilling” because when it became apparent to the Italian citizens that Benito Mussolini was a mere puppet of Hitler’s Third Reich and Italy was paying dearly with their blood in a losing war; an Italian mob got a hold of Il Duce and lynched him in a public square.
Hitler tried to exterminate all people he considered a stain to the Master Aryan Race. This included as many Jews as the Nazis could find.
Imperial Japan led by dictator Tojo in the name of Emperor Hirohito committed horrendous atrocities against Chinese, Koreans and POW’s. Millions died.
Though Il Duce was a puppet, he did his share of atrocities. One of the atrocities was the invasion of Ethiopia utilizing poison gas to subdue the nation.
President Bush had labeled Iraq, Iran and North Korea as an Axis of Evil.
Saddam Hussein’s Iraq was a genocidal and authoritarian in ways that no doubt would receive a hat tip Der Fuehrer or Comrade Stalin.
The revolutionary Mullahs of Iran purged the nation of all that may have opposed the psycho-Shi’ites grip on power.
North Korea’s Communist family cult regime mask’s their despotism with Communism; however the people are starved, abused, murdered and propagandized resulting in the Kim family retaining absolute rule.
The so-called humanitarian organization that is supposed to battle the Axis of Evil global atrocities known as the United Nations more often than not serves to protect the evil in nations rather than condemn them. For example the United Nations spends volumes on paper condemning the only democratic-minded nation in the Middle East in the sliver of land known as Israel. Yet the amount of condemnation of the brutal practices associated with Islam goes largely unreported. In fact the U.N. is pushing a global agenda to make it against International Law to criticize acts of Islam while looking the other way as Mohammedans do their best to slaughter Jews. Indeed there is nary a U.N. condemnation against the rising return of Jewish anti-Semitism that is emerging Western nations.
Iraq designs of regional hegemony were derailed by President G.W. Bush. Regardless of what you have heard about the lack of finding WMD in Iraq it is documented that huge amounts of yellow cake was transported from Iraq to Canada to keep out of Islamic terrorist hands and for Canada to use it for actual peaceful purposes. If you think psycho-Saddam would not have sought a way to turn yellow cake into some kind of weapon, then you should re-examine the genocide link above.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind (and Israel’s security apparatus) that Iran is enriching uranium to weapons grade for nuclear weapons. Yet the only thing the world does (sucking up to the U.N. style and oil worries) is write mass papers of condemnation thinking the ink on paper will stop a regime from following through on its very public statements of driving Israel into the sea.
Now Iran is watching with glee as North Korea successfully test detonated a nuclear weapon with the destructive scale that Hiroshima and Nagasaki experienced at the end of WWII.
What was the global response to the Nuke detonation? President Barack Hussein Obama led the way in the usual scary tactic of unleashing a verbal attack that was more likely followed by some official paper with the Presidential Seal on it. I have not sought it out but I would be surprised if the U.N. in their faux position as protector of world peace also wasted some paper devoted to North Korea. In fact knowing that paper does nothing, even Red China denounced the Nuke detonation. O the poor trees. This could set back the Green Movement.
Caroline B. Glick writes about how North Korea’s Nuke detonation, exporting missile technology and the general sales of nuke information is actually an attack on Israel. Do you think that is far fetched? If you do then you are unaware of two psycho-regimes that are buddy in the exchange of weapons technology (no doubt for oil). North Korea and Iran are near kiss'in cousins.
Since it is evident that President Barack Hussein Obama may toss Israel’s National Security under the bus, what Israel have to loose to at least take a shot at Iran’s nuclear industry?

Judith Miller writes a rather succinct essay about North Korea’s quest to be a nuclear power. Miller’s conclusion is there is ONLY one nation on the globe capable of halting the insanity of a fully nuke armed North Korea. That nation is China.

Here is some information from one of the top dogs in Conspiracy news – Prison Planet. The news article is entitled, “As Israel rages, US plans for Iran war re-emerge.”
Now I enjoy reading Conspiracy news however this kind of news is often derived from hear-say sources. Thus the reliability may be questionable because the truth is either stretched or if the news is on track with the source, confirmation is difficult to impossible to establish. News from coming Conspiracy news sources either look brilliant with the “I told you so” or the News appears laughable if it defies logic or tends to turn out just plain wrong.
This Prison Planet story has Prime Minister Netanyahu informing President Obama that Israel will go it alone to attack Iran if need be. The reality is such a desperate attempt at self-preservation would be at best a suicide mission if it succeeded.
The conclusion of Prison Planet is that if Israel goes it alone a Middle East war would emerge (that very well could expand into a World War); thus Obama chooses to prepare for war with the emerging enemies.
Neither Prison Planet nor I could divide decisively who those enemies would be except for the certainty of Iran. Because Hamas and Hezbollah line up with Iran such a war would divide the loyalties of the region. My guess is the Saudi leadership will have to decide to join the USA and Israel against Iran. Not because Saudi Arabia loves either nation but because Wahhabis hate Iranian Shi’ites. It is doubtful that the Wahhabi Saudis could stomach being on an equal to subservient plain with Iran.
Then there is Iraq. Such a war would surely line-up the Iraqi Sunni and Kurds against the Iraqi Shi’ites thus at the very least splitting the nation in two or at the worst into three hostile nations of a former Iraq.
Turkey would probably join the USA and Israel against Iran but not with gusto. There seems to be an unreasonable Turkish hatred toward the current largest national group without a sovereign nation – the Kurds.
Syria would join Iran out of existential need. Yet remember Syria is ruled by the minority Alawite-Shi’ites over the majority Syrian Sunnis. I suspect Lebanon would totally cease to exist as it is turn to pieces between American, Israeli and Turkish militaries on one side and Hezbollah, Syrian and rogue Iranian National Guard on the other end. Lebanon’s existence would be decided by the victors at the end of the regional conflict.
Then there are the wild card nations of Egypt and Jordan. Both of those nation’s citizens have a HUGE amount of sympathy for the Arabs who designate themselves as Palestinians. The first sympathies of the rulers of those two nations would be to counter the hated Iranian hegemonic plans for the Middle East; however Mohammedan riots no doubt urged by the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan) could mess up the governments of Egypt and Jordan neutralizing actual partnership with the USA to stay in power at their homes.
The current Afghan government would turn into a total puppet of the USA as the Taliban sympathetic populace will probably take up with the Islamic Terrorists stretching between both Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Pakistan may disintegrate as a so-called secular Republic as the radical Islamic terrorists who have the hearts of both Afghanistan and Pakistan overrun Pakistan from one side as the current military looks over their back to see what action India will take expecting the worst.
Then comes the globalized part of any Middle East conflict. Russian and China by necessity will have to choose sides. At first glance those two nations may feel it is in their National Interest to go with Iran initially. On the other hand I can see a scenario that China and India join the USA against Iran out of (ironically) Capitalist market issues. Although China needs Middle Eastern oil, they are totally invested in American markets in which the USA owes the Red Chinese some dough.
China and Russia have put on a unified front militarily lately however I sense China would throw Russia under a bus in a heart beat if they thought the best chance to remain a powerful emerging wealth nation was to hook-up with America.
If China switched to support America in a Middle East war, Russia may bow out due to self-preservation. Or there is the uncertainty of the re-emergence of Russian hubris may cause the Russian government to go for broke by supporting Iran. It would not be the first time in Russian history that Russia appeared to be down for the count only to bounce back a victor. There is Russia versus Napoleon and Russia versus Hitler as examples.
I really don’t have a good guess about Russian in a Middle East conflict. As a Bible student I would guess Russia would join Iran and Syria merely because most Protestant Biblical prophetic based ministries expect Russia to come from the North to threaten Israel’s existence. If this turns out to be that prophetic time, when things look dire the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will step in on Israel’s behalf at the last moment to render a decisive victory for Israel.
If it is not that prophetic moment, then look toward traditional geopolitical maneuvering to line up the sides as the cards are slowly drawn for play.
At any rate Prison Planet views President Obama to have contingency plans ready to battles Iran.

I often feel like the Lone Ranger because I defend President Bush’s action of invading Afghanistan and Iraq to take on fanatical Islam in one nation and secular genocide exploiting radical Islamic beliefs in the other nation.
Now I come upon an anti-Jihad writer in who I have tremendous respect for – Bill Warner of Political Islam.
Here I am saying my main message that Islamic doctrine as written in the Quran and other Mohammedan texts demonstrate a Theo-Political ideology (even I may say a cult) which any kind of political, monetary or military power will result in a Islamic Imperialism at worst or Islamic Supremacism at best.
Enter Bill Warner with an extremely hostile essay concerning President George W. Bush. You can imagine my mixed feelings prior to reading the message.
After I read Warner’s essay I had to agree with him. Warner is saying the kind of engagement with the enemies that attacked America’s homeland on 9/11 was a strategic error.
President Bush from the beginning tried to separate Islamic tenets from radical Muslims by calling them terrorists; ergo a Global War on Terror. From what I derived from the Warner essay is that it was a huge mistake to narrow the focus to a few by calling them terrorists. We should have recognized it was very tenets of Islam itself that the 9/11 attack was justified.
I have to say in retrospect I have to agree with Bill Warner on strategy which he says is a strategy of destined to failure.
On the other hand President Bush’s courage to go after what he would call radical Muslim terrorists was a decision I doubt a Leftist Democratic Party President would have had the cajones to pursue. Also I think it was worth the effort to try to build a democratic infrastructure in nations that have only known totalitarianism or tribal blood.
I say “worth the effort” for it appears that gamble probably is not compatible with an Islamic culture demands either full Sharia Law or watered down versions of Sharia Law. Even watered down Sharia Law is not compatible with Western concepts of Civil Rights and Liberty.
For Iraq that jury will be in when occupying American soldiers leave (or stay as an ally like in Saudi Arabia). If Iraq disintegrates into religious and tribal strife (Sunnis, Shias and Kurds) then the goal of at least some democratic infrastructure will be a total failure. If Iraq maintains a democratic Republic infrastructure even it is inimical to American National Interests then I would consider that a partial success; indeed it would be a foundation as an example for other Muslim States.
Of failure or success only time will tell. Unfortunately I suspect a good gamble may be a lost hand.
As to everything else Bill Warner writes about I absolutely agree with him. Unless the West and/or America changes its tactical outlook on what is threatening its existence, all things Western will slowly submerge into Islamic despotism.
So perhaps the Global War on Terror (GWOT) should be renamed. Let’s see how about something like Global War on Islamic Totalitarianism (GWOIST). Since Mohammedans have been trying to spread their Theo-Political ideology from the day pseudo-prophet Mohammed managed to conquer Medina and Mecca, we could even say GWOIST 2 or GWOIST 3 or 4 or 5. We could probably extend the numbers after consulting an honest historian.
O yes, the Obama Administration wants to redefine the GWOT as well. Unfortunately Leftist Appeasement is the New Administration strategy of the day. So far the Obama Administration definition for our Western existential crisis is “man-caused disasters”.

The Jamestown Foundation – Global Terrorism Analysis division – believes there is a potential for escalated warfare in Israel’s future. These thoughts are directly related to sporadic yet continuing missile launches into Israel from Southern Lebanon.
The Jamestown Foundation explores all the angles that might result in Israel beginning a second front against Islamic terrorists bent on destroying Israel. That exploration makes their essay a good read.
Just as a teaser: the logical missile launching Islamic culprits would seem to fall on Shi’ite Hezbollah; however Hezbollah has not accepted the credit and Lebanonese government officials also say it is not Hezbollah. The working theory implied is that Sunni Islamic murderers representing Arabs calling themselves Palestinians may be stirring Israel up to confront Shi’ite Hezbollah. Apparently the radical Sunni Islamic terrorists of Southern Lebanon despise the bigger and stronger Shi’ite Hezbollah as Islamic heretics.
Coupling the Sunni/Shia animosity is that the transnational terrorist organization al-Qaeda has called on Islam (i.e. Sunni) to rise up against Israel. This rising up includes criticism for Egypt and Jordan for not invading Israel; ergo the Sunni citizens of those dis-respective nations should rise up against their governments for being in collusion with Israel and the USA.
Although the Jamestown Foundation has a banner declaring itself a neutral source of information and analysis, I detected a hint of a pro-Palestinian victimization while there seemed to be a de-emphasis of Israeli Victimology.
Still the analysis is very compelling and a good read.

for God's sake do you believe the non sense you wrote...of course they value humans life... should I attach a photo file of palastinian children in Gaza??? Yea they do value life!!!!
Nouf.M can indeed show you some pictures. I visited her website of the same name. Her last post has photos of the devastating price of war.
That post has several photos of maimed and harassed Arabs that call themselves Palestinians in Gaza as the result of Israeli reprisals for Hamas shooting missiles Into Israel.
The thing is Nouf.M fails to show the photos of children being indoctrinated to HATE Jews at an early age:

So let’s be honest. If the people of Gaza (Gazastan-Hamastan) accept Israel’s existence and not support Islamic murderers like Hamas then the tragedy of war would not happen to the Arab civilians in Gaza.
As long as hate is the raison d’etat of Arabs that call themselves Palestinians, Israel will and SHOULD hammer those that support the hate thinking of driving Jews into the sea.
Leftists, European Governments, Middle Eastern Governments and so-called Palestinian-Arabs have been whining about a disproportionate use of force by the Israeli Defense Forces to the civilian targeted missile attacks by Hamas.
This is a load of propaganda dung aimed at the West to pressure Israel to stop the war and continue to allow Hamas to shoot missiles into Israel.
What is happening between Hamas (Gaza-Gazastan-Hamastan) and Israel is an ongoing war with Israel in which Hamas’ end goal is Israel’s destruction.
Add to this that missiles came out of South Lebanon (the haven of Iran supported Shi’ite Hezbollah) and struck an Israeli nursing home. The miracle: no human injuries occurred. The tragedy: a building that is a residence for the elderly and recuperating individuals has a bunch of holes in it.
Should not Israel be held to the same proportionate response in protecting its citizens as any other nation would in fact respond in an attack?
Leslie J. Sacks examines the hypocrisy of the double standards that other nations do the same themselves while expecting Israel to execute a lesser proportionality.
Read the Sacks essay.

After years of not responding to missile attacks from Hamastan (Gaza) Israel has finally embarked on what any other nation would do – DEFEND ITSELF.
I heard a great analogy by Benjamin Netanyahu on Fox News this morning. I’m afraid the best I can do is paraphrase the analogy from memory so if you heard the same thing rest assured my interpretation of Netanyahu’s analogy is at least close to the original.
First of all let me say this. Netanyahu was incredibly placed in a position in which he had to defend the Israeli attacks on Muslim Arabs that have the sole desire only to destroy the Land of Israel.
Eventually Netanyahu gave this analogy to the Fox News interviewer concerning Israel’s increasingly upgrade of the intensity of self-defense.
Netanyahu eventually added something like this:
Having Hamas directly south of Israel shooting missiles at Israeli civilian is like America tolerating a hostile al-Qaeda camp just outside of New York City.
America would Ruby Ridge that al-Qaeda camp if it existed outside of New York City. Although I suspect survivalists would join whatever American authority in blasting radical Muslims off of American soil.
I came across a post from Publius’ Forum that shares my shared mystification that the Times Online is more concerned about Obama’s Foreign Policy goals affected by Israel protecting itself from the murdering Muslim Hamastanis.
The Times should be reporting that even as Israel is coming down harshly for Hamas missiles being launched on the Land, Hamas is continuing to launch missile at population centers and NOT Israeli military targets.

Ever since rumors of Iran going beyond the use of peaceful technology with their nuclear program there have been hints of military strikes (and HERE) from either Israel or the USA or both to set Iran’s nuclear back.
It became clear as Bush’s popularity began to shrink coupled with zero support with the Russian and Chinese portions of the United Nations Security Council that the Bush Administration was not going to involve the USA in a military strike against Iran. This so much the case a political rumor escaped that Ehud Olmert visited Bush to get the go ahead for Israel to do a solo strike against Iran’s nuclear capability. Bush did not give that go-ahead.
Now the rumors are beginning to fly again and only action will verify the difference between reality and rumor.
That rumor is that Israel is considering a solo strike against Iran before President Elect Obama takes Office on January 20, 2009. The reasoning being that Bush’s hands are even more tied and President Elect Obama is so pro-Arab that he will be more ambitious to strip Israel back to the pre-1967 borders before Arab invaders made yet another attempt to destroy Israel – and lost. Coincidently this pre-1967 border plan is a Saudi initiative.
Setting this up for you, you really need to read Joel C. Rosenberg’s article on this situation.
