Ann Coulter says that Liberals lie. I might add the moonbat morons have stung themselves by revealing the Dems lied their way into the majority in both Houses of Congress.
Snooper’s blog expresses his opinion in not so politically correct lingo in wondering what else the Dems have lied to America about. And I might add if Dem’s lie, what kind of character does Barack Hussein Obama have AND what nature of lying is involved in his primary campaign slogan of “changed.”

I have impressed myself by stumbling upon a post of General Patraeus’ opening statement before Congress Today.
I am sure the grilling is in process by the Dems even as my fingers plunk my keyboard. Nevertheless, the Patraeus opening statement is powerful and for the Dems to criticize the accomplishments the General has overseen would be politically petty to pander to the anti-war movement and the poor Americans that believe the propaganda of the Mainstream Media.
Anyway, enough of my frustration of the delusional Left. READ General Patraeus’ opening statement:

Patraeus Highlights

From Petraeus's opening statement:
· Security in Iraq is better than it was when Ambassador Crocker and I reported to you last September, and it is significantly better than it was 15 months ago when Iraq was on the brink of civil war and the decision was made to deploy additional US forces to Iraq. A number of factors have contributed to the progress that has been made.
· First, of course, has been the impact of increased numbers of Coalition and Iraqi Forces. You are well aware of the U.S. surge. Less recognized is that Iraq has also conducted a surge, adding well over 100,000 additional soldiers and police to the ranks of its security forces in 2007 and slowly increasing its capability to deploy and employ these forces.
· A second factor has been the employment of Coalition and Iraqi Forces in the conduct of counterinsurgency operations across the country, deployed together to safeguard the Iraqi people, to pursue Al Qaeda-Iraq, to combat criminals and militia extremists, to foster local reconciliation, and to enable political and economic progress.
· Another important factor has been the attitudinal shift among certain elements of the Iraqi population. Since the first Sunni “Awakening” in late 2006, Sunni communities in Iraq increasingly have rejected AQI’s indiscriminate violence and extremist ideology. These communities also recognized that they could not share in Iraq’s bounty if they didn’t participate in the political arena. Over time, Awakenings have prompted tens of thousands of Iraqis—some, former insurgents—to contribute to local security as so-called “Sons of Iraq.” With their assistance and with relentless pursuit of Al Qaeda-Iraq, the threat posed by AQI—while still lethal and substantial—has been reduced significantly.
· The recent flare-up in Basrah, southern Iraq, and Baghdad underscored the importance of the ceasefire declared by Moqtada al-Sadr last fall as another factor in the overall reduction in violence. Recently, of course, some militia elements became active again. Though a Sadr standdown order resolved the situation to a degree, the flare-up also highlighted the destructive role Iran has played in funding, training, arming, and directing the so-called Special Groups and generated renewed concern about Iran in the minds of many Iraqi leaders. Unchecked, the Special Groups pose the greatest long-term threat to the viability of a democratic Iraq.
· Al Qaeda’s senior leaders, who still view Iraq as the central front in their global strategy, send funding, direction, and foreign fighters to Iraq. Actions by neighboring states compound Iraq’s challenges. Syria has taken some steps to reduce the flow of foreign fighters through its territory, but not enough to shut down the key network that supports AQI. And Iran has fueled the violence in a particularly damaging way, through its lethal support to the Special Groups.
· As we combat AQI, we must remember that doing so not only reduces a major source of instability in Iraq; it also weakens an organization that Al Qaeda’s senior leaders view as a tool to spread its influence and foment regional instability. Usama bin Ladin and Ayman al-Zawahiri have consistently advocated exploiting the situation in Iraq, and we have also seen AQI involved in destabilizing activities in the wider Mid-east region.
· Together with the Iraqi Security Forces, we have also focused on the Special Groups. These elements are funded, trained, armed, and directed by Iran’s Qods Force, with help from Lebanese Hezbollah. It was these groups that launched Iranian rockets and mortar rounds at Iraq’s seat of government two weeks ago, causing loss of innocent life and fear in the capital, and requiring Iraqi and Coalition actions in response. Iraqi and Coalition leaders have repeatedly noted their desire that Iran live up to promises made by President Ahmedinajad and other senior Iranian leaders to stop their support for the Special Groups. However, nefarious activities by the Qods Force have continued, and Iraqi leaders now clearly recognize the threat they pose to Iraq. We should all watch Iranian actions closely in the weeks and months ahead, as they will show the kind of relationship Iran wishes to have with its neighbor and the character of future Iranian involvement in Iraq.

The Weekly Standard About Page
Ann Coulter makes an excellent point about the Democrats: that Political Party of Moonbats and scalawags knew how to respond to Patraeus before Patraeus gave his report to Congress. How can the Slanted Right make that accusation? The proof is in the pattern of defeatism from the time the Bush Administration decided to remove Saddam Hussein from power.
On August 4 I posted about the Moderator at a Kos Conference that not only snuffed an American Soldier’s comments on the Troop Surge, but also exploded with hostility toward the Soldier and demanded a Kos panelist to “stand down” that was going to respond to the Soldier. Then in a huff unceremoniously stated the Panel discussion was terminated and stomped off the stage. That is the memory jogger.
The link to the video (that link must be fast forwarded to the 40 minute mark) I had only showed the Moderator – Jon Soltz – expressing his hostility to the Sergeant.
Courtesy of Pajamas Media, a news reporter covers the end of the Panel discussion from the audience perspective. He captures Soltz’s rude anger and the voice of the Sergeant. The Pajamas Media reporter then attempts an interview with Soltz – that did not go so well. Then the reporter interviews the Sergeant and of course he was very forth coming. The Sergeant’s interview reveals that Soltz in a private room threatened to have the Sergeant dishonorably discharged for wearing his uniform at a political function. Apparently it is illegal to wear military uniforms at public forums except under certain guidelines.
You and I both know that Soltz – a former soldier currently involved with Leftist moveon.org and votevets.org – did not want to hear any positive information from an American Soldier the contradicted the Left Wing view of the Troop Surge.
Here is the Pajamas Media link to the Kos conference I described.
Here is a YouTube video of a debate between Jon Soltz and MoveAmericaForward Chairman Melanie Morgan. After you watch this video you can understand why Soltz was hostile toward the Sergeant. Soltz contends that his votevets.org is the primary organization in America representing veterans of the wars being fought by American Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. That of course is hogwash and thus the origin of the hostility from an American Soldier confronting Soltz in a public forum at a Kos conference.
Melanie Morgan in the August 8 MoveAmericaForward e-newsletter says this about Jon Soltz:
Jon Soltz has become one of the leading anti-war spokespersons for the "surrender" movement that is trying to force our troops to declare "defeat" in Iraq and surrender the nation to al-Qaida.
He puts a "military" face on the surrender/defeat/retreat message of the anti-war movement, but make no mistake - he is actively working to undermine support for the missions of our troops at a time of war. His conduct is shameful, and we should all be aware of what we're up against. We need to be prepared to fight back here on the home front to ensure our troops that they have the support they need to finish their missions and achieve VICTORY.
Soltz is a classic Lefty claiming to represent the hearts and the minds of the American citizens and troops he purports to be the “leading voice” for (votevets.org). Soltz’s claims are propaganda taking advantage of polls that ask skewed questions that provide a skewed answer. On the other side of the political spectrum there are organizations that lay to the same claim and are more legitimate because a significant amount of there funding is grass roots as opposed to Anti-American Leftist George Soros (the major billionaire donor to moveon.org and votevets.org). MoveAmericaForward and VetsForFreedom represent the grassroots people that comprehend the threat of Islamism to Western Civilization.
Soltz is a representation of the Left that will do all it can to snuff the voice of the Right to prevent Americans from making informed decisions based on finding a middle ground. Leftists only want you to see the Left side of the field. Often times the Left side is sugar coated with utopian promises that cannot be kept because they are delusional or impossible. Think of that in November 2008.
It is amazing that you don’t read about huge successes in Iraq. Senator Reid (King Cut-n-Run) has called a defeat and General Patraeus incompetent.
It takes patriot pro-troops bloggers to get the successes out. The problem is the Mainstream Media (MSM) nixes Surge Successes with pessimistic reporting of Leftist anti-troops and anti-Americans who refuse to buck up and find a path to victory even if politically incorrect methods are used. One does not stroke his enemy’s hand with platitudes in war. General Patten would have said the object is not to watch the poor bastard next to you get his head blown off, rather it is to blow off the head of the bastard shooting at you (Yes I know, I was taking liberty with a paraphrase but you know I am RIGHT).
The interesting thing is that local Iraqis are beginning to rat on insurgents like al Qaeda because they are beginning to see some seriousness of the will to win by American troops. This is something that Mohammedan propaganda has said Americans could not stomach a long war because of casualties; however now the insurgents are receiving the greater casualties with the direction pointing of the Iraqi people.
With all the Democratic Party grand standing against the American Troop Surge and the War in Iraq and the collusion of the Mainstream Media (MSM), you might be surprised to learn that the NEW General in town is reporting huge successes.
Murtha’s “Slow Bleed Strategy” is aimed at stopping the Troop Surge, however what it really does is exact a demeanor of defeat and places the Troops in Iraq in harms way by holding back funds that provide equipment that protect our soldiers.
Does anyone see the irony? Not too long ago the Democrats were castigating President Bush for not planning well enough for soldiers to have the proper equipment for protection of our soldiers, now Murtha is attempting to make soldier safety an uncertainty in his crusade to administer a defeat for America in Iraq.

Stop the Pelosi-Murtha 'Slow Bleed' Today
Republican National Committee
E-Newsletter 8:32 AM 2/22/07
Mike Duncan, Chairman Republican National Committee
Last week, I wrote to you about the Democrat 'slow bleed' strategy for Iraq. Proposed by John Murtha, 'slow bleed' would do exactly what it sounds like: gradually take away the resources our men and women need to fight the terrorists in Iraq. It would limit reinforcements, and possibly even close the bases that offer support and shelter for our troops. The Democrats had hoped to keep the 'slow bleed' plan under the radar by adding it onto other bills, but now even the liberal press are reporting on the story.
A Washington Post editorial last Saturday described the Murtha 'slow bleed' plan as "crudely hamstringing the ability of military commanders to deploy troops" and went on to say this: "Mr. Murtha's cynicism is matched by an alarming ignorance about conditions in Iraq. He continues to insist that Iraq 'would be more stable with us out of there,' in spite of the consensus of U.S. intelligence agencies that early withdrawal would produce 'massive civilian casualties.' He says he wants to force the administration to 'bulldoze' the Abu Ghraib prison, even though it was emptied of prisoners and turned over to the Iraqi government last year. He wants to 'get our troops out of the Green Zone' because 'they are living in Saddam Hussein's palace'; could he be unaware that the zone's primary occupants are the Iraqi government and the U.S. Embassy? It would be nice to believe that Mr. Murtha does not represent the mainstream of the Democratic Party or the thinking of its leadership. Yet when asked about Mr. Murtha's remarks Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) offered her support."
Even the liberal columnist E.J. Dionne criticized the Murtha 'slow bleed' plan, saying that "the sense that the proposal has been crafted in part for reasons of political convenience and the intricate restrictions it would place on the military are precisely what could doom it."
Those are exactly the reasons 'slow bleed' should be doomed, and we need your help to do it:
· Write a letter to your editor or call in to talk radio today condemning the Democrat 'slow bleed' strategy.
· And then call your Congressman or Senator and tell them not to support a plan that would leave our brave men and women in harm's way without adequate resources to protect themselves.
The Murtha 'slow bleed' strategy is a dishonest and dangerous response to the challenges we face in Iraq. Together, we can and we must stop Congress from passing the Murtha plan.
Sincerely,
Mike Duncan

There is a bit of a feud running between Pelosi of the and Vice President Cheney. You might say facetiously, “No kidding.” Okay I realize the Left including Pelosi has not been of Cheney’s Christmas list and visa-versa for nigh seven years, however the Democrats have arrogantly tried to use legislative authority to meddle in executive authority since January 2007.
The Vice President has publicly and in various international locations has said that “House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's opposition to President Bush's war buildup is playing into the hands of the al-Qaida terrorist network.” Pelosi has shot back publicly to ask if Cheney is questioning her patriotism.
Realize this is not a direct quote, but Cheney basically said, “Dang right.”
Every moment the Democrats shout we have lost in Iraq, it emboldens radical Islamofascists like bin Laden to wreak havoc on anything not viewed as Mohammedan. That is not patriotic, it is moronic.
Pelosi went to President Bush to squeal like a swine looking for pearls about Cheney. Let us hope the President has not lost all of his Republican gumption and sends her to the sty. As if Bush could make Cheney say something different, the Vice President cannot be fired.

Chamberlains vs. Churchills
By Gary McCullough
OPINION, Feb. 16 /Standard Newswire/ -- The following is submitted for publication by Gary McCullough, director of Christian Newswire:
Today, within the beltway of Washington DC, America's modern day Chamberlains won the day. With all the vigor and clarity of true zealots, supporters of the nonbinding House resolution said "we surrender.""You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor and you will have war." -- Churchill's remark after Chamberlain returned from signing the Munich Pact with Hitler
"You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor and you will have war." This was Winston Churchill's statement after Neville Chamberlain returned from signing the Munich Pact with Hitler.
Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., said, "What we now have in Iraq is a defeat. We cannot achieve the illusions of the Bush administration that we will be able to create a stable unified liberal democracy in Iraq that is pro-American ... Instead, we have sectarian fighting, death squads and a disabled Middle East that threatens to be engulfed by the nightmare that we have unleashed."
As you read this the words of Waxman, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi fill the newspapers and broadcast airwaves of the Middle East (and North Korea).
Winston S. Churchill stated, "You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."
Churchill's foe, Arthur Neville Chamberlain, campaigned and led England under his firm belief that Germany had been wronged by his and other nations. His opinion was that the actions of Germany leading up to what became World War II were those of a victimized people. Chamberlain's words filled the newspapers and broadcast airwaves of Nazi Germany as Chamberlain defeated and mocked Churchill.
Chamberlain said, "We should seek by all means in our power to avoid war, by analyzing possible causes, by trying to remove them, by discussion in a spirit of collaboration and good will. I cannot believe that such a program would be rejected by the people of this country, even if it does mean the establishment of personal contact with the dictators."
Today is the day the Chamberlains got back at the Churchills. Today is the day for "peace" at any price. After all, isn't that what we Americans voted for? There is little doubt that this past November we voted for our Chamberlains and sent many Chruchills packing. Now our new leaders, our Chamberlains, are telling us exactly what we want to hear.
I pray our bold Chamberlains are correct in their plan to not repeat history. But I fear that this is one of those times in which God's answer to our prayers will be that He gave us the freedom to pick our own path, even if that path leads to pain, destruction and death.

Democrats reject Bush troops plan
Feb 16 4:52 PM US/Eastern
BREITBART.COM
The House of Representatives has issued a symbolic rejection of President George Bush's plan to deploy more troops to Iraq. The 246-182 approval of a resolution opened an epic confrontation between Congress and Bush over an unpopular war that has taken the lives of more than 3,100 US troops and tens of thousands of Iraqis. "The stakes in Iraq are too high to recycle proposals that have little prospect for success," said Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who as leader of the Democratic majority controls the House agenda. She gained power last autumn in elections framed by public opposition to the war. "The passage of this legislation will signal a change in direction in Iraq that will end the fighting and bring our troops home," she vowed. Bush's Republican allies argued against the measure and said it portended a Democratic attempt to cut off money for the troops. "Their so-called slow-bleed approach is the bite that will surely hurt those fighting under America's flag overseas," said Republican Roy Blunt. "This non-binding resolution is the first step in an all-too-binding spiral towards defeat in a fight that we cannot afford to lose," he said.

Statement on Non-Binding House Resolution on Iraq The White House
For Immediate Release
Office of the Press Secretary
February 16, 2007 The House of Representatives has passed a resolution expressing disapproval of President Bush's plan to send reinforcements to Iraq. This plan enjoys the support of the Iraqi government and U.S. military leadership, including Gen. David Petraeus, Commander of the Multi-National Force in Iraq, who recently was confirmed to his post by an 81-0 vote in the Senate.
The President ordered a new way forward in Iraq because he, like most Americans, believed the existing situation in Iraq was unacceptable. The President concluded that this new strategy was necessary in order to help the Iraqi government gain control over Baghdad, assume more responsibility for security, and pursue reconciliation of all of Iraq's communities.
The resolution is nonbinding. Soon, Congress will have the opportunity to show its support for the troops in Iraq by funding the supplemental appropriations request the President has submitted, and which our men and women in combat are counting on.
The President believes that the Congress should provide the full funding and flexibility our Armed Forces need to succeed in their mission to protect our country.
