["In my nearly 36 years of public service I've known of a few like you," Dole writes, recounting his years representing Kansas in the House and Senate. "No doubt you will 'clean up' as the liberal anti-Bush press will promote your belated concerns with wild enthusiasm. When the money starts rolling in you should donate it to a worthy cause, something like, 'Biting The Hand That Fed Me.' Another thought is to weasel your way back into the White House if a Democrat is elected. That would provide a good set up for a second book deal in a few years" Dole assures McClellan that he won't read the book — "because if all these awful things were happening, and perhaps some may have been, you should have spoken up publicly like a man, or quit your cushy, high-profile job." "That would have taken integrity and courage but then you would have had credibility and your complaints could have been aired objectively," Dole concludes. "You’re a hot ticket now, but don’t you, deep down, feel like a total ingrate?"

Scott McClellan has created quite the stir by writing a book insinuating purposely manipulated information to get the public and Democrats on board to invade Iraq.
Now the House Judiciary Committee is giving McClellan free publicity for his book “What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington’s Culture of Deception.” The Committee listened to McClellan testimony concerning the outing of Valerie Plame as a covert CIA spy.
Like McClellan can shed any light after Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald was only able to convict one person (Scooter Libby). Libby’s conviction was not even for outing Plame. Libby was hunted down by Fitzgerald because Libby’s memory was conflicted enough that he was convicted of perjury.
The guy that did out Plame was an anti-Bush RINO Richard Armitage in which Fitzgerald KNEW was the culprit. The image is that prosecution did not follow through for Armitage because of his anti-Bush stance. Fitzgerald had to convict somebody to justify the waste of taxpayer money so he entrapped Libby with testimony based on memory. Shucks partner, I sometimes forget why I walked into the kitchen in five minute period of time and Libby was convicted because his memory events did not line up from years in the past. All well, that is another story.
Now a Democratic Party controlled Judiciary Committee is wasting taxpayer money by show casing McClellan about Plame. The reality is the Democrats are show casing McClellan to drive more nails of hate into Bush and the Republican Party.
Now here’s the thing: the MSM is hopping on McClellan’s book and anti-Bush message like flies on bull dung. No one is listening to the facts that demonstrate the lack of credibility of McClellan’s book. For God’s sake he was a Press Secretary that was told what to say to the Press, not a policy maker or political strategists that viewed and disseminated National Intelligence.
Check this out:
The former White House press secretary suggested that Bush could do much to redeem his credibility on the Plame matter and his reasons for going to war in Iraq if he would embrace "openness and candor and then constantly strive to build trust across the aisle."
"This is a very secretive White House ... There's some things that they would prefer not to be talked about," McClellan said.
…
McClellan accused Bush of a lack of candor in other areas, including what he called the "packaging" of intelligence to justify the Iraq war and the president's handling of allegations that many years ago he had used cocaine. (Yahoo News)
Now here are some thoughts on McClellan from a more Conservative perspective (which as you can guess, I view as closer to the truth):
If Scott McClellan’s allegations about President Bush sound as if he copied them from the editorial page of any liberal newspaper, there is a reason for it: As White House press secretary, McClellan was not privy to sensitive policy decisions and therefore has no specifics to back up his charges.
…
McClellan cites no details, and for good reason. McClellan was not invited to attend classified meetings where the decisions about going to war were discussed.
“The role of the press secretary does not have him in the most sensitive military and intelligence briefings that the president conducts with his national security advisor and secretary of defense,” Fran Townsend, the former White House counterterrorism chief who was at many of those crucial meetings, tells me. “So the facts and policy discussions he sees are limited.”
Instead of supplying specifics, McClellan makes sweeping allegations that contradict the underlying facts and therefore lack credibility.
…
McClellan claims Bush's real reason for invading Iraq was "an ambitious and idealistic post-9/11 vision of transforming the Middle East through the spread of freedom." In making that claim, McClellan seems to suggest that Bush himself did not consider Iraq a threat. McClellan thus ignores the fact that the CIA and every other intelligence agency in the world believed that Iraq had WMD and that former President Clinton, Al Gore, and Hillary Clinton all said they considered Iraq a threat. But then on NBC's "Today Show," McClellan said he thinks Bush did believe Iraq was a "grave danger." So what is all the fuss about? That WMD were never found? That is not exactly news.
Townsend calls the allegations “self-serving, disingenuous and unprofessional.” She says, “If Scott had concerns, he had an obligation to voice them at the time or even resign. He did neither. Even when he left no one had the slightest idea of any of these allegations. I knew him as a good White House colleague, and I find this shocking and disappointing.”
The bottom line is that, as Saddam told Piro, he was planning to resume his WMD program — including developing a nuclear weapon — within a year. That was when Saddam thought United Nations sanctions would be lifted, in part because he was paying off UN officials.
“His goal was to have the sanctions lifted,” Piro says in an account the media have largely ignored. “And they likely would have been lifted if it were not for 9/11. Even the United Nations changed after 9/11. So Saddam was on the right track. His plan to have sanctions lifted was working. But he told me he recognized that he miscalculated the long-term effects of 9/11. And he miscalculated President Bush.” (Ronald Kessler)
God only knows why McClellan chose to smash the President behind his back in a book. If McClellan felt the information given was smoke and mirrors he should have the guts to tell the President his thoughts, argued his case and if Bush was truly heinous then quit his job. According to several witnesses in the Administration and McClellan’s immediate superiors, McClellan did not once even act squeamish about his role as the Press intermediary between the White House and the Press. That makes McClellan a two faced coward.
There is an even handed editorial out from the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal written today about McClellan. That editorial takes a middle ground saying it is good to see free speech work in America and also questions McClellan’s credibility.
Valerie Plame’s testimony contradicts CIA and government assertions that Plame indeed sent husband Joe Wilson to Niger. Plame denies the assertion vehemently.
So what does that mean? Both Plame and Wilson are liars or the CIA, State Department and White House are liars.
More resources corroborate the CIA, State Department and White House than Plame and Wilson. That would mean Plame has the gall to lie on record at a House hearing.
And AGAIN I raise the question: Why did not Special Persecutor Prosecutor Fitzgerald fulfill his mandate and indict Richard Armitage?
Jack Cashill insinuates a mysterious conspiracy possibility involving or I should I say revolving around Plamegate.
After reading “Joseph Wilson's Original Sin and how the Administration Washed it Away,” I realized I might have been a little slow connecting the dots.
Who sent Wilson to Niger? It has been verified that wifey Valerie Plame sent Wilson. Why did Plame send Wilson? This is the CIA connection I did not get until possibly now. Wilson was highly involved with French interests in providing nuclear material to Saddam Hussein. The CIA was against an Iraqi invasion by the Bush Administration.
Why was the CIA so dead set against an invasion that America’s Cloak and Dagger Company did everything it could to embarrass President Bush and the Administration?
Here is my guess. Iran has been an official enemy of America since Carter sold out the Shah and allowed the Iran Revolution to proceed. As is typical of those in the American bureaucracy that favor Arab assets to accomplish National Interests, I believe the CIA was working with Saddam to do something to a mutual enemy – Iran. In that work relationship, I sense the CIA (some how) schemed with the French without the knowledge of the Bush Administration or perhaps prior to the Bush Administration.
Why do I contemplate an operation was in place prior to the Bush Administration Agenda to take Saddam down? It is because America shipped out 1.77 tons of enriched uranium out of Iraq. The story was brief but mysteriously withdrawn. Now why would the Bush Administration not take advantage of this moment of vindication?
I sense the CIA was trying to sweep complicity to an Iraqi nuclear program that would also implicate France and Russia. By the time the Bush Administration connected the dots about CIA designs that ran counter to a Bush agenda, the invasion was committed to happen or happened.
President Bush had to decide whether to look like a weak President not in control of his own government and expose America to the embarrassment of a Clinton Agenda still moving in the bureaucracy or hide the dual opposite American government agendas to project strength.
I believe the President chose the latter. Unfortunately the less embarrassing choice set Bush up to be a target by unscrupulous Democrats that had only one agenda: to regain power in government at any cost. I believe there are Democrats that are privy to the knowledge of the CIA agenda. I believe Sandy Berger stole Classified Documents and shredded them to protect Clinton and various Democrats who might be traced to the CIA, French and Russian agenda. When those documents were destroyed, President Bush lost a smoking gun to be used against his political enemies.
Thus President Bush was at the mercy of the 2006 election in hope of perpetuating a Bush agenda. The Democrats exploited enough propaganda that voters were swayed to Democrat lies. I sense President Bush has lost his resolve to follow through and acquiescing to political enemies at the expense of American honor.
I find this unbelievable! Scooter Libby was convicted with four guilty verdicts relating to perjury and obstruction of justice. Then Special Persecutor Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald proclaims this is the event that wraps four years of American taxpayer money.
Fitzgerald goes after Libby for lying about the outing of Plame. Yet Fitzgerald knew full well from the beginning of his investigation that it was Richard Armitage that outed Plame. AND Armitage outed Plame not in any attempt to cover-up anything President Bush or Vice President Cheney were doing, Armitage outed Plame to embarrass the President and Vice President because he was against invading Iraq.
In fact Fitzgerald told Armitage to keep quite about his role in leaking Plame’s name.
Plame and Wilson go Scot free about lying. There is NO indictment whatsoever for Armitage's treasonous acts and MSM manipulation to wrap his anti-War/pro-Arab agenda; then Libby is convicted for perjury and obstruction of justice.
The Yahoo News (which I found out is often edited) report makes Libby looks scandalously heinous and does not write about the appeal outlook put forth by Libby’s Attorney until the end.
The Mainstream Media (MSM) is reporting Scooter Libby’s trial using discredited information as factual news.
Ann Coulter shows how Left Wing MSNBC has taken the lies of Joe Wilson and has asked the public to consider why Wilson’s report was not used in the President’s address concerning the need to take Saddam Hussein down due to seeking nuclear WMD.
There simply is too much evidence that Joe Wilson is a biased liar that tried to sell out the Bush Administration to the Slanted Left. I know in my gut that the CIA was part of this sell out to embarrass President Bush.
Plamegate enabled the Leftie mantra “Bush Lied.”
Read Coulter’s “Yellowcake and Yellow Journalism” and see who the real liars are.

Okay I know that AboveTopSecret.com may enter the fringe of Conspiracy Theory, however every good theory has data to extrapolate a theory. A linguist in Arabic with a military background makes for high-end usage in Intelligence work. Such a person is Dave Gaubatz. Gaubatz is legit no matter your thoughts on conspiracy theory.
Here is an AboveTopSecret.com Interview with Dave Gaubatz. Actually it is a summary of a June 22, 2006 interview. The date is important because it both disputes the Duelfer Report and shows the Democrats to be political deviants lying to the Mainstream Media (MSM) or in collusion with MSM to give the impression there was no WMD in Iraq.
In fact if you listen to a Leftie political pundit they always deliver this pompous indignant question: Where is the WMD? This is usually followed by a bunch of hyperbole criticizing President Bush (you know – Bush Lied, soldiers died).
Another aside about the Duelfer Report unrelated to the AboveTopSecret.com interview is the Sandy Berger (Clinton Chief of Staff) shredding of classified documents relating to the War on Terror and possibly WMD in Iraq. We will never know what was in those documents because Clinton stooge Sandy Berger is not talking about the why. Berger’s only lame excuse is somehow the documents got tucked into his socks and he forgot to put them back then they mysteriously were shredded.
Okayyyyyyyyy?
Another aside is an obvious CIA set-up with Plamegate that the facts are now showing light that there were mysterious circumstances as to why Plame sent anti-war (proven liar) Wilson on a fact finding expedition to Niger.
Yada Yada.
You should read that Dave Gaubatz Interview with AboveTopSecret.com.
Here is some more Plamegate stuff. Clarice Feldman demonstrates how the Mainstream Media (MSM) is reporting the Libby trial as damning evidence to convict. The actual truth is Libby’s lawyers are doing an outstanding job to show Libby’s innocence.

(A warm up to Reading Ann Coulter’s Column)
This is one of Ann Coulter’s best columns. Fitzgerald is a tool of the Democratic Party to try and embarrass the Bush Administration in its handling of the war in Iraq. If there can be some court evidence discovered that Saddam Hussein had zero interest in nuke WMD, then the Democrats feel they have the ammunition to nuke Neocon and Christian Right influence and possibly the entire Republican Party.
Patrick Fitzgerald was given a Special Prosecutor’s mandate to hunt down the Neocon that must have released Valerie Plame’s name to the public as an employee for the CIA. As if Plame had any operations that could harm lives of CIA operatives in Africa. Here is the great mystery: Plame is to have sent her husband (an anti-Iraq invasion persona) to to discover if Saddam Hussein was looking to buy Yellow Cake to make nukes. The adventure was so secret that he told everyone who his wife was and she sent him for the CIA.
Of Course it has been proven that anything related to what Wilson says on his adventure has been proven a lie.
And yet since Plame’s name hit the Mainstream Media (MSM), someone had to fry for crossing the CIA. The data I have read is that the CIA has not gotten along with President Bush and very likely has fed the President corrupted or unusable intelligence. I am guessing that the CIA is trying to cover their butts by making a Presidential Administration they widely dislike to look bad.
I surmise this because both Plame and Wilson were hacks of nearly zero importance to the CIA or the Diplomatic Corps. Yes, they both worked their particular professions however they hardly handled life threatening or Security threatening port folios.
Fitzgerald has spent his millions of tax payer’s money on this Leftist hunt of Neocons and has NOT indicted one person for actually leaking to the MSM Plame’s name. This is the case even after every indication is that Richard Armitage initiated the LEAK.
Armitage is not a Neocon, he is just an Arab loving old school Republican that worked in the State Department (or was it Defense – who cares?).
So what is the result of Fitzgerald’s Independent Prosecutor’s investigation? It was to try to catch a Neocon in a lie and prosecute the Neocon for perjury. The Dems really wanted to nail Karl Rove, but they could not dig any dirt that could stick to him. Next was Vice-President Cheney’s Chief of Staff I. Scooter Libby.
The indictment on Libby was for obstruction of Justice by lying or in other words perjury. Fitzgerald’s case is the Special Prosecutor’s accusation versus Libby’s claim of an inexact memory. Memory lapses that are very plausible because of all the duties a Chief of Staff performs, recalling insignificant details are not filed in the human memory banks say like a sitting President having oral sex with a White House intern before remembering her name in an actual perjury case.
