Activist Fed Court Again Legislates From Bench

The State of Oklahoma had passed one of the toughest anti-immigration laws on the State level in the USA.

Notice the past tense: U.S. District Judge (Yes the Federal level once again telling the State level what to do) Robin J. Cauthron issued a preliminary injunction temporarily halting the enforcement of the State Law saying Oklahoma’s Law is “substantially likely” to be unconstitutional.

Guess who filed in Federal Court to prevent Oklahoma’s enforcement of their legislative enacted State Law: “… the US Chamber of Commerce, the Oklahoma Chamber and other business groups.”

So the Chamber of Commerce and business groups are playing the “hurts the economy” card to overrule a State taking action where the Federal Government is woefully deficient in protecting the American way of life.

The Republicans failed to use their one time majority to change the landscape of Left Wing Activist Judges view of an evolving Constitution. “Evolving” meaning: to judicially legislate from the Bench relative a Leftist view of society rather than actually interpreting the content of the US Constitution. The Republican failure was in being cordial in parliamentary rules to the Democrats.

Do you think the Democratic Party controlled Congress will be slow in adding more Left Wing Judges to the Federal Judiciary if Marxist Barack Hussein Obama is elected President in November 2008?

Frozen in Tulsa

Tulsa - Frozen trees and Power Lines

Okay. I know am more politics, geopolitics and anti-jihad in my posting; however I live in the Tulsa Metro area. Two-thirds of the people are without power due to an ice storm.

Okies are not used to cold temperatures of the nature of freezing and just below freezing. Add this to the apparent majority of households/Apartments seemed to all electric without gas heat.

Our family embarked to a motel that had power. That motel told us we were the last reservation and then they would be full.

My honey is a travelling sales lady so me and the grandkid pulled up stakes and travelling with her the next day in Arkansas. It is not freezing in Arkansas.

Just as we were about to leave the motel in the Tulsa Metro area, that motel lost power.

Driving in the area around 8:00 AM it was a view like the movie The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. The sky was grey and the trees were crushed with ice. Limbs were in the streets, on cars and on houses. Then we disembarked for Arkansas.

So here I sit in an Arkansas motel wondering when the power is coming back on in the Tulsa Metro area.

Oklahoma Law Causes Exodus of Mexicans from Tulsa

Oklahoma has passed a State Law that mandates stiffer measures against illegal aliens, meaning seeking and deporting. A Hispanic businessman estimates that 25,000 Mexicans have fled Tulsa, OK alone.

Pro-Latino groups decry the new Law as fostering racial hate. Anti-illegal alien groups disagree, the Law targets people who break the Law regardless of race, religion or creed.

In the WorldNetDaily article where I read this information you can sense the Leftist victimization guilt trip that restaurants and menial jobs will be affected thus hurting the economy of Tulsa.

There is a hint that the Oklahoma Law will be taken to the Judicial System because of claims it oversteps Federal authority, i.e. the (ineffective lame Federal) Federal Law is easier on illegal aliens. What!? It is against the Federal Law for illegal aliens to be in America, just because a State proceeds with stiffer guidelines to enforce the Federal Law does not the State Law is overstepping its boundaries.

As for the economy taking a hit because of an exodus of Mexicans: Is the implication that breaking the law aids economy? Is it the implication that illegal immigrants receiving the privileges of a free public education and government entitlements are an aid to the economy and tax payers of Oklahoma or America for that matter?

Now I am fully aware that the majority of illegal alien Mexicans are hard working people trying to improve their quality of life or the quality of life of family back in Mexico with American money; however with the immigration of honest hard working illegal aliens is also a conduit to illicit felonious drug and gang businesses. That definitely does not help the economy of Oklahoma or America.

I offer no solutions for there are not any easy solutions which are beneficial to the hard working the Mexicans and the American citizens. Mass deportation is not an answer nor is mass amnesty. The former is to expensive enmasse and the latter will permit the criminals to stay in America along with the hard working Mexicans.

In the process of finding a solution it should not be the American citizens that take the hit in taxes or becoming the potential victims of drugs, career criminals or gangs. If a hit should be taken it should err toward the ones already breaking the law, not the law abiding.
