I wonder if Judas Iscariot is part of the bloodline of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert of Israel.
The man gave up Gaza and Israel is the recipient of constant missile attacks from Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
Under Bush Administration coaching Olmert has already forced Jews from Israelis call Judea and Samaria, and America calls the West Bank. Olmert is committed to establishing a Palestinian State of murderers and thugs which have the soul aim of eradicating Israel and committing another Jewish genocide.
Now Olmert is preparing to negotiate with Syria to give the central strategic defensive area of the Golan Heights back to Syria (which Syria lost after invading Israel).
While all this is going on Olmert has been under investigation or accusation of multiple illegal scandals. If Olmert were an American President he would have been impeached long ago. I find it unbelievable the Israeli Knesset has not produced a NO CONFIDENCE vote in their Parliamentary system!
Syria’s history of deception, making deals, breaking deals and aiding factions of terrorists and their enemies by constantly switching sides is the essence of Syria’s political nature. Assad will only keep a deal with Israel if there is a perceived huge benefit that will not hinder Syrian National Interests. Incidentally Syrian National Interests is more about money to be made for the Assad dynasty than any official political ideology or Islamist politico-theology publicly endorsed (or repudiated depending on the money).
Olmert is insane to deal unless he has a plan to offset Syrian duplicity. Olmert’s history does not suggest he is smart enough to have such a plan of action.
Israeli daily: Olmert willing to withdraw from Golan Heights
Olmert to Assad: Israel willing to pay "price of peace"Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert recently relayed a secret message to Syrian President Bashar Assad saying Israel knows the price of peace and will be willing to pay it, the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported today.
According to the report, Olmert told the Syrian leader that Israel would return the disputed Golan Heights in exchange for a comprehensive peace agreement and the severing of Damascus’ alliance with Iran and terror groups in the region.
The newspaper quoted a senior Israeli as saying that Assad has yet to respond to Israel’s offer.
The report alleged that US President George Bush gave Olmert the green light for negotiations with Syria in an hour-long phone conversation last month, and that the two leaders will further discuss the possibility of talks during their scheduled meeting at the White House on June 19.
A Syrian diplomat in London denied the report, saying that Damascus had not received any invitation from Israel to open negotiations, Israel Radio reported. (ICEJ email – 6/8/07)
This is a deal that the Israeli government has to know is insane! Olmert’s premiership absolutely needs to be terminated. Ironically the Assad government has publicly allowed plausible deniability for Olmert. Does “Land for Peace” sound like Olmert or not? Hello, Olmert’s Convergence plan: we pro-Israel people must be aware.
Mean while both Israel and Syria are overtly preparing for war.
I digress.
The Israel Defense Force (IDF) is running training exercises in preparation of a long rumored Syrian invasion. Syria became emboldened by successful tactics that client terrorist organization Hezbollah used in Lebanon.
The global question that will be complicated: What will America and the EU do if such an invasion occurs? If Iran honors its mutual alliance agreement with Syria, will Iran join Syria in fracas? Again, if Iran joins with Syria, what will America and the EU nations do? For that matter, what will Russia and China do?
The whole scenario reminds me of how World War One began with the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand in today’s Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo). Arab greed for Israel’s sliver of land and a Syrian invasion could spark another World War (WWIII or WWIV depending on who you read).
The EU’s Solana has pretty much given the go ahead to to seek the return of the Golan Heights which they lost in a failed invasion of Israel. The Golan Heights have been a huge strategical buffer utilized by Israel to keep the crazy Assad dynasty at bay.
Carolyn Glick has written an essay showing the last time a Western power showed disinterest toward inter-Arab relations, Kuwait was invaded by Saddam Hussein. Glick senses that Solana’s statement is encouragement for Syria to do the same thing with Israel.
Does it seem far fetched? Hardly! With the mutual back slapping between Syria and Iran as well as the public displays mutual defense memos and such, Syria indeed seems to be just waiting for the best timing to take on Israel.
The crisis in Israel’s corner is the incompetent leadership provided by the Olmert team. The Prime Ministry of Olmert is the most confused and weak leadership Israel has had – EVER.
The desert wolf is circling the prey to take yet one more shot at obliterating Jews in their homeland.
