In the 1930’s the Japanese Empire had the military acumen to be a Super Power in Asia and the Pacific Islands in the Japanese sphere of influence. There was one problem Japan faced with their powerful military and hegemonic agenda. Japan did not have the natural resources to maintain a military in the event a nation with natural resources challenged the expansion of the Japanese Asian grip.
Japan needed oil and metals to be a powerhouse. Japan was fully aware their expansionism would collide with the National Interests of America eventually. Preparation was needed for this confrontation. The only logical solution for a nation with the hubris of go-it-alone self-determination was to prepare tactical scenarios to weaken or strike fear in the American government to try to mold a revision of the American National Interests in the Pacific and Asian economies.
After weighing the tactics it was decided to try to take out the strength of America’s Pacific Fleet; thus the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
Like it or not oil is even more important today as a source of energy today than in the 1930’s. Oil has empowered the Islamist dream of a global Muslim spread of their religion in the style of the glory days of using the sword and fear exampled by their prophet Mohammed. Without oil the Middle East would still be a third rate collection of clannish dominated nations with Islam confined. Industrially or Economic powerhouses would have zero interest in camel jockey land and Muslim Middle Easterners would probably have no interests outside of regional clannish/national interests of petty squabbling.
Indeed though there is an abundance of oil in the Middle East and it is controlled by nations that serve the harshest and conservative interpretations of their Quran, Hadith, Sunna, etc.
America and Western Europe have been natural allies since the end of WWII. Present day Russia and the former Soviet Union had their own political agenda of spreading repressive Communism (really Russian hegemony in the name of Communism). China was somewhat under the Russian orbit of Communism but fiercely independent and weaker than Russia and America industrially.
As interdependent Globalism began to evolve in the economies of the world, things began to change.
Eastern Europe became liberated from the grasp of a weakened Russia after the fall of repressive Communism as the governing principle. Russia by no means the Super Power of the USSR days, but still powerful enough to have hegemonic designs in their immediate region.
Global economics suddenly saw the flow of capital into India and (ironically anti-capitalist) Communist China.
Suddenly China had the money to build a military infrastructure that will eventually challenge or test the strength of the current hyper-power America.
Globalism has conjoined the world into a global economy in which the power of capitalism (for better or worse) connected humanity for the first time in a state that transforms National Interests to the Global Interests of individuals.
There are two huge down sides to this Global Interest. There are still powerful nation-states that have developed cultural values that do not match the Global Interests.
America has iconized its Constitution as the measuring stick of what Freedom, Liberty, Civil Rights, Domestic Tranquility and the Pursuit of Happiness is. There is political polarization on defining the direction of those freedoms; nonetheless on both sides of the polls the essence of the Constitution is sacrosanct.
Western Europe has taken a more egalitarian definition of Liberty and Freedom that has led more to the rights of multicultural or group Liberty rather than individual Liberty; thus the attempt to balance what constitutes a hate crime or an offense to a cultural group or group phenomena.
The relatively new acquisition of freedom in Western Europe is trying to discover the path of American Liberty, European Liberty and the former rule of Law left behind from Soviet control.
Whether Russia has been Czarist, Communist or toying with the concepts of Democracy; has always been the State defines the welfare of the people. I believe Russia will eventually lose most of the tenets of Democracy to go back to what it knows best on how to govern their people; i.e. a combination of benevolence and the stick to inspire Russian Patriotism and Pride from the State. This means Russia will again challenge Europeans and America with their own hegemonic goals (at least regionally).
There is the Third World. The Third World struggles to instill Democracy while battling the evils of political and/or criminal corruption or they are just plain dominated by a strong man with some kind of military support to remain in power until a revolution or assassination replaces one strong man for another.
And of course there are the oil Baron Nations of which most are Muslim and being Muslim and feeling empowered by oil wish to spread political Islam globally.
So here is the problem: there is actually a Global Interest that affects individuals economically but no power structure to enforce the Global Interest. Why? The reason is the globe is still ruled by Nations – some good and some bad (and flowing to downright evil). Their ideologies clash forming diverging National Interests according to the ideology. When the National Interests clash it boils down to one mitigating factor in this day and age – oil and how to attain it economically.
The day that oil threatens the ideology of the Nation or Nations that have military clout regardless of ideology or religion, the next global war will occur.
Look around. Nations are slowly gravitating toward alliances (that may become official some day) in which the National Interests are shared and oil is the target.
Islamism may be the spark as the assassination of Franz Ferdinand was the spark for WWI; however it will be oil that is the prize sought.
I’ve written all this because America is focused (rightly so) on the Global War on Terror; however China is slowly becoming that nation (like Japan) that will be desperate for oil as a resource to the Asian and Pacific hegemon.
And again which nation is the greatest obstacle to acquiring oil and Asian hegemony? Yep, it is the United States of America.
A Chinese surprise attack will not be with planes launching from Chinese Air Craft Carriers on Pearl Harbor. It will start with surgical nukes from their submarine fleet that will first target global communications then military targets to cripple the best human fighting force the world has ever seen.
I don’t think I am exaggerating. READ THIS!
A Comment left by “Bushtolike Pilon” denigrated the United States of America at this blogspot post: “Al-Sadr may restart full-scale fight against US in Iraq.” I have posted this same title on most of the social blogs I am a member of as well.
This is what Bushtolike Pilon wrote:
The greatest worldwide thief is the blue eyed devil! Every where he goes there is only destruction, mayhem and death. Wake up buddy who is more blood thirsty for oil? The answer is the west and Usa!! You are just as fucking moron talking shit through your fat blue eyed ass.
Have fun for now as the BIG DRAGON China will soon kick your fat crap talking butt into chowmein. Have fun!!!
The person has to be a Lefty or a Muslim-America for the person broadcast the intellect of the low brow vulgar slang that is often used by the American Left. Obviously the person chose epithets rather than cogitative thinking to refute my opinion.
Here is my comment response:
There may indeed by a show down between America and China over oil. God forbid if China wins, then the Middle East would truly understand the brutality of an atheistic nation.
Mohammedans have their eye on Israel, USA and the West; however it is the largest persecutor of all religions that makes torture done by Mohammedans look like a picnic. Under Mao tse Tung (or which ever way you choose to write his name), China slaughtered over 35 MILLION people to re-educate and eradicate religion. A program still continued to this day against all religions and particularly focused on Christians, Buddhists (Tibet) and Mohammedans.
If you are a Mohammedan, you are a dumb ass to think China will not slaughter Mohammedans if they win such a confrontation with America. If you are a Communist, you are a dumb ass for supporting such a murderous government.
In fact look at list of genocides and note that America is not even on the list; however the rogue governments of the Middle East main suppliers of weapons are number one and two.
Oil is indeed an economic weapon used as an excuse for National Interests of Super Powers and imposing global intolerance by third rate Mohammedan nations that have oil under their ground.
You know the third rate power nations will not win an oil war. You had better hope America wins if such a war arises. We re-build those we defeat, not slaughter them.
Who did you say was blood thirsty for Oil?
UPDATE: I probably won’t continue to follow up anymore; however the commenter has left a similar comment this time under the name “anonymous.” I was not sure previously whether the person was a Marxist/Leftist or a Mohammedan. I now convinced the person is a Mohammedan.
I will first post the Mohammedan drivel followed immediately by my response:
Your list is written by the Usa itselt and a big lie. Vietnam is the American genocide and before that the genocide of the american indians who are still suffering under the invaders. Dont fool yourself we are not that dumb.
"We re-build those we defeat, not slaughter them."The lie of millennium
You steal,kill,rape,spread diseases,fornication,pornography,alcohol etc.

Anonymous now I know you are a moron. That list was compiled NOT by the US Government but by one of the Left Wing universities in America. In fact I'd say Berkley is so deluded in its Leftism that they support Islamofascist Mohammedans over America in the Global War on Terror.
[Not in the original comment: It is true the Native Americans were mistreated horribly in history by the American Government as it expanded from the East Coast to the West Coast; however the Native Americans not only have full citizenship, freedom and liberty today but the Federal American Government provides extra perks and in some cases allow laws to occur that supersedes State and Local Government (revenue via the gambling industry as one example).
How many Church Bells ring in Mohammedan dominated land? What kind of equal rights under the law do Christian, Jews and non-Muslims have under the Mohammedan rule of law (in many cases where Medieval Sharia Law is the dominant foundation)?
Yes that is correct: ZIP, ZERO, NADA AND NOTHING.]
You said: "You steal, kill, rape, spread diseases, fornication, pornography, alcohol etc."
That is the perfect description of a Mohammedan except maybe the alcohol (which is replaced by smoking drugs).
So Wake-Up America! This is the kind of deluded lies that Middle Eastern Mohammedans or American-Islamist Mohammedans truly believe. Even revisionist Leftist Academics disagree with the Mohammedan mind!
Here is an enigmatic essay about India and China. The byline implies that the long standing foes and competitors in Asia are embarking on some kind of rapprochement. However as you read through the analysis it appears to be paragraph after paragraph of what ifs.
The conclusion that the commonality between India and China is commerce however distrust between the emerging Asian giants is far from being resolved. The enigma is will China continue to get involved with nations in India’s sphere of influence and sphere of turbulence or will India overlook that continuing Chinese excursions and seek to strengthen each other by cooperation in boosting each others economies.
How does the enigma affect American National Interests? Bush not too long ago reached out to India to forge bilateral cooperation in the nuclear realm probably to coax a partner with India’s hated enemies of Mohammedan nations. It is like Bush is trying to find a back-up if the Musharraf regime collapses to radical Islam. A radicalized Pakistan which is already the natural enemy of India would increase the hostility between the two nations.
But check it out: China is a friend of Islamist rogue nations. If Pakistan collapses my bet is China will prop up an Islamist revolutionary Pakistan government to cause more headaches for America.
There is a lot of backroom international politicking going here and India might be the key to offset China and an ally against Islamist rogue nations. So watch the moves of India, its choices could give a bonus to China or to America depending on what back door diplomacy is being ironed out.
One other point about India: India and America have not been in each other’s friendly orbit. Even though India is a democracy, it leaned heavily on military expertise from the former Communist Soviet Union. That relationship did not amuse America in Cold War days.
Yes I do believe India is the enigmatic key in global politics. The question is which nation India will decide to ultimately align with.
Thanks to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), I suspect America and Israel may have to act alone to prevent nuclear WMD from being made in Iran.
The IAEA report recently released claims that Iran is “generally truthful about key aspects of its nuclear history”.
Those brief words alone enable Russia who is aiding in building nuclear plants and China who is a major arms dealer, to say: “I told you so.”
Europe is incredibly tied to Iranian oil and will think long and hard to accommodate sanctions along with America. Iran could make the claim that Bush has it wrong again about WMD, because he found none in Iraq.
I guess I am of the rare group that believes it is better to be safe than sorry. The kind of uranium being enriched in Iran is weapons grade and that is confirmed. If America acquiesces to Iran becoming a nuclear power in the Middle East then nations that can afford to do so will be forced to seek nuclear WMD to counter Iran’s hegemonic designs. The two nations I have in mind are Wahhabi dominated Saudi Arabia and Muslim Brotherhood infiltrated Egypt.
A nuclear race far more dangerous than the Cold War days will occur. Middle Eastern nuclear proliferation will be dangerous because Mohammedans are crazy suicidal and the old Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) doctrine will not faze them. The MAD doctrine was the code that definite enemies America led NATO versus the Soviet Block (and emerging Red China) lived by in order not to launch nuclear attacks.
The MAD doctrine implies if one nation (or nations) launch a nuclear missile strike then the retaliation button will be pushed before the WMD strike. Thus both sides are obliterated in a thermonuclear holocaust.
As competitive as free market capitalistic democratic Federalism and Marxist/Leninist/Stalinist/Maoist Communism were, neither side felt an ideology was total obliteration.
Does anyone think the fear of annihilation exists in homicidal suicidal Mohammedan nations? Well I don’t!
Evidently Hillary has been receiving donations from illegal aliens of the China-Town kind. She has sent back the high profile (i.e. big) donations if there a connection can be made to Asian barely speaking English political donors.
Apparently the media has been exposing the potential illegal donations to Hillary’s campaign. Hence Asian minority rights groups are beginning to clamor that to much attention has been focused by the media on minority Asian donors.
It is incredible! The racial card is being played to get scrutiny off of Hillary’s dubious campaign fund raising.
It would have been awesome to have India (the largest Western style democracy globally) in America’s camp. America even went out on a limb to strike a nuclear technology deal with India subject to approval of Congress and India’s Parliament.
There were critics on the Left in America of sharing nuclear technology with India in light of our denunciation of North Korea and Iran going nuclear. There were traditional slanted right critics (paleocons) who felt such a deal would alienate the much needed support of nuclear armed Mohammedan Pakistan on the War on Terror.
President Bush had managed to swing Congressional approval of the nuclear deal with India. Unfortunately the irony of ironies is occurring in the Indian Parliament. The Left block (Marxist/Communist associated Parties) which make up part of the ruling Parliamentary coalition of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh are working to strike down the deal. That is an irony because the Left in America tentatively seems to have signed on to the deal. The reason: traditional Marxist aversion to a Capitalist America as a global hegemon and the Marxist Indian’s fear of America manipulating India’s foreign policy.
Prime Minister Singh has been lobbying hard with the Indian Parliament however it appears headed to defeat.
I suspect the Marxists in India’s Parliament wish to continue an affinity with former Communist Russia (though apparently becoming hostile toward America) and Communist China.
This is an indication to me that has its own version of polarizing politics: The old politicians of India wish to stay connected to past associations with Russia and it’s off and on again relationship with China. A new guard of Indian politicians needs to assert themselves because on paper it would seem an America/India partnership would benefit both nations in National Security and the economics of prosperity as a counter weight to Chinese ambitions to be a global military and economic hegemon at India’s expense.
I believe the ruling Indian elites are missing the big picture for the future growth and security, especially since Islamofascism is attacking India nearly as much as America. The American Media fails to report the significance of radical Islamists committing acts of terrorism against the Hindi majority of India’s population.
Let us hope President Bush and Prime Minister Singh can pull out a twelfth hour turn around for both nations’ sake.
The Axis of evil was at one time: Iraq, Iran and North Korea. Iraq was bumped from that list.
I guess the next Axis of Evil would be Syria, Iran and North Korea. All three are rogue nations destabilizing peace in their regions.
Now I am reading in the Scotsman.com that Burma is preparing to join the Axis of evil club. Burma is already a rogue nation with a horrible human rights record. The nation is ruled by a military junta Dictatorship.
Apparently Burma is rich in natural resources and is prepared to profit on those resources. Who is paying for the natural resources? China, Russia and India.
Russia is aiding Burma in preparation of nuclear plants. Does that sound familiar?
China is buying oil and setting up naval bases on Burmese islands. This is part of the Chinese military strategy known as the “String of Pearls.” This is a reference to China’s growing military that is ever increasing Asian hegemonic power.
India is not happy with China’s emerging military via a nuclear navy in the Bay of Bengal.
India is competing for oil and gas exports from Burma by selling military arms. India is loosing that wooing game because Burma is allowing China into the Bay of Bengal and Russia is fulfilling a nuclear aspiration. This means India has a nuclear competitor in Pakistan and China and potentially Burma and Iran. India is being surrounded. India has been in Russia’s orbit for years. I am thinking this nuclear power encircling of India may force India to become a full partner of America.
The Scotsman.com reports one other tidbit about Burma wanting into the Axis of Evil club. Burma has normalized relations with North Korea: The bad boy that relies on China and threatens South Korea, Japan and America.
Now here is something to think about. It is a “what if.” What if China and Japan were to reconcile their past and become East Asian partners pursuing mutual national interests? This would greatly expose a weakness in American hegemony. Such a China/Japan alliance might be huge economically and militarily.
Here is another “what if.” What if China, Japan and America formed some kind of triumvirate with Japan as the linkage between the three? That would be a huge innovation that would mess up a lot of geopolitical thinking globally. Russia and the EU would definitely feel the political pressure.
Oh well just thinking out loud. Indeed though China and Japan are reaching out to find a way to patch up mutual loathing of each other. The implications of the success of such a venture could hold future geopolitical global realignment.
When the Bush Administration approached India about strengthening ties, I presumed it was a good thing. When the talks turned to the topic of nuclear power exchange I thought, “Wow!” The “Wow” was because India has had a history of enmity with Mohammedan nations (Pakistan in particular) and China. At the time I believed a potential America/India alliance could hold the future in a positive light as the inevitable clash between West and political Mohammedanism crashed into explosive conflict.
I was so confident of a future ally that I overlooked the old friendship between India and the former Soviet Union. Last week Russia, China and India held a Summit discussing geopolitics in New Delhi and how the three could enhance their presumed National Interests. Officially the Summit was a cumbaya get together to talk about how the three could influence world peace (blah, blah). However the topics included North Korea and the use of multilateral diplomacy to handle global crises (such as Iran). This troika of friendship cannot be good for the good ole’ USA. If this troika embarked on economic and military cooperation it would definitely challenge American global influence and National Interests.
I still cannot get past the primary military purveyors to rogue nations and consequently to Islamofascist terrorists and an India hook-up. As I have written these words still is a huge target of Islamofascist terrorism. My guess is since the end of WWII India is second only to in the frequency radical Mohammedans murdering innocent non-Mohammedans. It was Mohammedan Imperialism in India's history that slaughtered Hindus in India and basically eradicating Buddhism in the land of its birth. Forced conversions occurred in India during the Mohammedan Imperialism. Hindus also faced extermination and torture for being polytheists; however the Hindus managed to survive extermination in India. With all this in mind what boggles me is India getting into the bed of the suppliers of its loathsome enemies.
Time Magazine speculates (Peter Ritter) that China's shoot the satellite out of space test was a message to Taiwan; i.e. we are becoming a world power and your future resistance is futile.
Ritter also speculates the Chinese test may give ammunition to American neocons that wish to make the point that America needs to counter the Chinese military build up.
I hope Ritter is correct. My estimation is that China is a viable competitor to global American hegemony. The part I am not certain about is Chinese intentions.
Do the Chinese actually wish to be a global hegemon or just a regional hegemon? The importance of this question is the global economy. A Chinese/American clash could spiral the global economy into a depression, particularly in America. The utilization of friendly competition in markets could be a huge enrichment for both America and China.
Chinese silence gives the appearance of the clash scenario.
