I was in my early 20’s when the Sonics finally emerged from mediocre to a great team in the NBA. They went to the Championship in 77/78 and lost a close and exciting series. The following year the Sonics electrified the entire State of Washington by winning the 78/79 Championship series.
For years the Sonics was the only pro sport in Washington State. In 78/79 the Seahawks were still considered an expansion team.
I grew up in the Evergreen State and loved the Sonics. It is quite the surprise the Seattle Sonics are moving to Oklahoma City. I am a Washingtonian living as an Okie these days so I have mixed feelings about the move.
It is sad for Seattle to lose such a pro heritage; however it is exciting to have the potential to watch the Sonics in my neck of the woods.

Okla. Council members approve lease for SuperSonics

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The Oklahoma City Council today unanimously approved a preliminary lease agreement with the Seattle SuperSonics.
Sonics owner and Oklahoma City businessman Clay Bennett is asking the NBA to approve moving the team to Oklahoma City.
The council action comes as NBA Commissioner David Stern and members of the league's relocation committee are to visit the city today.
The 15-year deal is dependent on the team moving to Oklahoma City and calls for the city to renovate the Ford Center and build a practice facility with the Sonics renting the facilities.
City voters recently approved a sales tax extension to pay for the projects.

One would think “peace advocates” or “anti-war organizations” would demonstrate their grievances under the First Amendment in a peaceful manner. Let us see, what the definition is of “peace:”
1. The absence of war or other hostilities.
2. An agreement or a treaty to end hostilities.
3. Freedom from quarrels and disagreement; harmonious relations: roommates living in peace with each other.
4. Public security and order: was arrested for disturbing the peace.
5. Inner contentment; serenity: peace of mind.
Presumably the expression “anti-war” means the opposite of war or perhaps it means against war.
Now let us examine the emerging predilection of “peace advocates” and “anti-war organizations.” The predilection is to vandalize military recruitment centers, violent acts up to including bombing and the threat of violence if recruitment does not close their doors.
Hmm … These actions not only sound moronic but are the actions which are oxymoronic to the appellation of “peace advocacy” and “anti-war.”
Here is a Fox News report that proves peace advocates and anti-war organizations act in an oxymoron hypocritical fashion. Such is the case we can label them morons.

Islamofascism and the inherent Theo-political cult of death known as Islam to adherents and as Mohammedanism to people like me that have disdain for a medieval threat of violence that terrifies those that love Liberty and Freedom has struck fear into LiveLeak.
LiveLeak was the video service I used to share the Movie Short Fitna to readers who wished to be educated about the true nature of Mohammedanism. That link now leads to a LiveLeak apology to its clientele because the fear of death threats to its staff constrained them to cave into Islamofascism to place security above the passion of Freedom.
Actually I cannot blame LiveLeak. With governments in the West promoting Appeasement to Mohammedans at the cost of Freedom and Liberty that has evolved in the world with the example of the American experiment after the Revolutionary War.
Western governments and the U.S. government have allowed litigation, the fear of Mohammedan rioting and the threat of Islamic terrorism killing citizens in the West in the name of Mohammed and Allah to Appease the protests of Mohammedans that value medieval Sharia Law above the modern concept of Freedom and Liberty.
Thanks to World Net Daily I have found a Part 1 and Part 2 division of the LiveLeak version on YouTube. My wonder is this: Will YouTube experience pressure to cave into Islamofascism and depreciate Freedom and Liberty as LiveLeak was forced to do?
It is time for the Governments of the West to put down their differences of Leftwing ideology and Rightwing ideology and confront the foreign cultural values of Theo-political Mohammedan ideology aggressively to protect not only our citizens but to defend the levels of Freedom and Liberty the West has attained.
If aggressively means deporting residential aliens and/or jailing naturalized citizens that support the death cult that expects acts of violence to rain down on people utilizing Freedom of Speech or Conscience, then so be it.
As an American, I for one have grown weary and impatient that Political Correctness terminates my Constitutional Rights of Freedom and Liberty deeming my criticism of Mohammedanism as “Hate Speech” when in fact my criticism of Mohammedanism is a defense of Freedom and Liberty. Frankly I do not care if Western Freedom and Liberty offends Mohammedanism. I am an American living in secular-political nation with a heritage of Christianity that has influenced right, wrong and principles of Justice.
Come on LEFT and RIGHT, we are not each other’s enemy common enemy to the way we live. That enemy is Mohammedanism as expressed by radical Islamism with greater and greater acceptance by Mohammedans in general. I am speaking to the LEFT and RIGHT: we disagree on the direction America should take, but we agree on using interpretations of Constitutional Law to find that direction. Mohammedanism seeks to eliminate the path of Freedom and Liberty embedded in the American mind of the LEFT and RIGHT.
Americans UNITE! Even more important: Western style nations UNITE! Let us confront Mohammedanism even as they accuse the West anyway. It is time for a 21st century Crusade.
Now I know Leftwing Academic historians have painted the ugly facts of the medieval Crusades. Those facts are accurately ugly. However the demon of Political Correctness fails to equally paint the ugly facts of Mohammedan military advancement and conquests that were equally if not heinously worse than the ugliness of the medieval Crusades.
The thing is the Mohammedan mindset of medieval ugliness is alive and well in the 21st century whereas it is the West that has such principles of the Geneva Conventions (even though many in the West have only partially practiced those Conventions or totally ignored them).
The adherence to the Geneva Conventions (of degrees of the lack thereof) is a modern phenomena compared to the medieval principles utilized by Islamists extracted from their own holy writings. Yes I know there are compassionate Mohammedan holy writings; however in the 21st century Islamism leans on the interpretations of medieval brutality of death and destruction to non-Mohammedans (fakir) and Mohammedans that do not agree with Islamist interpretations.
It is time to meet 21st century Jihad with a 21st century Crusade that is more secular than religious and with the rules of engagement that the Allies used in WWII to defeat the Axis Powers utterly with the terms of unconditional surrender. Forsake principles of Political Correctness, it will destroy the West.
I have found an English subtitled and English language version of Geert Wilders’ Movie Short Fitna at the Exposing Islam blog. Whatever you think about Wilders’ politics as to place on the political pole – Rightwing or fringe Rightwing – Fitna utilizes the words, pictures, sound bytes and film excerpts of what Islamic people holy men following the Quran.
Global Islam (radical and so-called moderate) has worked hard to squelch this Movie Short to be broadcast on television. Islamic pressure even pressured Wilders’ webhost to not allow Fitna to be shown under its ISP. It will be interesting how long LiveLeak will allow having Fitna shown since the West seems to be dhimmified into petrification at the complaint of Islamic organizations in the West and in the Middle East.
Fitna was put together under the sponsorship of a Dutch citizen however it is a Wake-up America, nay a Wake-up World moment. Wake-up for Islam is using victimization as an excuse to curb Freedom of Speech. Republican Representative Peter Hoekstra has made this clear in his opinion about how Islam threatens the Constitutional Right of Freedom of Speech in America. Insults and critical speech has been allowed against questionable faiths that are more like cults and political ideologies from the Left and the Right in America for quite some time. It has only at the cry of Islamophobia (i.e. the accusation of hate speech) by Islamic organizations as well as domestic and foreign mullahs and imams has Freedom of Speech has been criticized.
What is the worry of the West and Freedom of Speech critical of Islam? It is the dhimmified fear of global rioting and violence by the so-called religion of peace when offense is taken. Our modern sense of political correctness has allowed the criticism of Christianity, Judaism, Capitalism, Communism, Nazism, Democracy and other faiths. Yet when the potential of malicious violence looms at criticism of Islam the West slinks under a rock rather than stand for hard fought principles of Democracy and Liberty.

I know this is probably old news to many of this Website’s readers; however I just ran into today. A couple days ago CreepingSharia.com roughly reprinted the story of BizzyBlog’s exposing that Obama’s Church – the Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC) – published support of the Hamas Manifesto on Jeremiah Wright’s “Pastor’s Page” of the Church newsletter. BizzyBlog broke the news, but I read about on CreepingSharia.com thus I then posted from the CreepingSharia.com perspective.
I am now learning from WorldNetDaily that Obama contacted the Jewish Telegraphic Agency to condemn Hamas and to explain (once again) he was not present at TUCC when the terrorist-racist support was expressed by Jeremiah Wright and TUCC by publishing the Newsletter which had the Hamas Manifested in it from a reprint of a Los Angeles Times editorial written by Islamic Terrorist Mousa Abu Marzook.
Is it just me noticing this: Obama seems to never be present at TUCC when the racism and pro-Terrorist and anti-American rhetoric comes from the pulpit or the Church’s written word?
I am beginning to wonder if Obama is following the old Goebbels paradigm on propaganda:

I mean Obama has been making an awful lot of denials and many condemnations over and over again … has not he?
Why is the Hamas Manifesto such a big deal? It is because America’s own State Department has Hamas listed as a terrorist organization. Hamas has essentially rebelled against the PA in the Gaza Strip and basically run the show there. Part of the Hamas Manifesto (actual document link) is a call for the unmitigated and utter destruction of Israel which would of course if successful lead to another Holocaust of carnage that would make Hitler happy in hell that the Final Solution is continuing even after his demise.
Polls conducted by Arabs that call themselves Palestinians and polls conducted by Israelis demonstrate that a majority of these Palestine Authority Arabs support terrorism against Israel while the Israeli polls show that a majority of Israelis want to stop further withdrawals from Judea/Samaria (the West Bank).
So someone in the West tell me again how creating a sovereign Palestinian State will bring peace to the Middle East.

Magdi Allam is was a prominent Egyptian Muslim writer living in Italy. He has made his dutiful Mohammedan journey to Mecca as is required once in a lifetime (I think) for all Mohammedans.
Here is the thing, Allam has been extremely critical of Islamism and the inherent nature of violence in Islam itself. Allam is even pro-Israel due to the brutality of homicidal suicide bombing Arabs that call themselves Palestinians.
O yes, did I mention this prominent writer living in Italy converted to Christianity this Easter season and was baptized by Pope Benedict XVI himself.
WOW! Apparently more and more Mohammedans are leaving the so-called religion of peace every year.
Here is a little side bar that really has nothing to do with Magdi Allam’s illumination of the true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
I was listening to Fox News briefly last night (it may have been the day before; I am fuzzy on the exact time frame). While I was half listening all of sudden a statistic brought me to alertness. Twenty-thousand Mohammedans have converted to Christianity in the last year. Seventy-thousand Mohammedans have converted since the Iraq invasion.
What is different since the Iraq invasion and before?
Well duh! There is a bit more Freedom of Choice in Iraq (In my search for statistics; this is the closest I could find for verification. There are time constraints you know.).
Mohammedans are persecuting native born Iraqi Christians (for years actually). In this Eastern season about a week ago Archbishop Paulos Faraj Rahho was murdered. Just after performing a Mass, he was kidnapped from his Church and shortly there after was found dead in a shallow grave. The Archbishop is representative of 600,000 Chaldean Catholic Christians that are native born Iraqis that have a history in the area since before the forced conversions of Mohammed. (End of side bar)
