The True Peace of Jerusalem
The Six Day War between Israel and hate filled Arab nations in 1967 culminated with a Jewish victory after being attacked. The important outcome of the victory was that Jerusalem was no longer a divided city; Israel had won the City of David from hateful Mohammedans.
It has always been a wonder to me as to why Israel did not immediately control the land Al-Aksa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock were located. Those blaspheming pieces of architecture were built smack dab on the location of the holiest site to the Jewish people – the Holy Temple first built by Solomon, rebuilt by Zerubbabel and beautified by Herod.
If Israel had immediately taken control of the management of the Temple Mount at worst there would be no difference in hostilities today and at best the beginning of yet another restored Jewish Temple. Now it would be difficult to impossible to establish management of the Temple Mount. The Arabs have convinced the West that those Mosques are in the realm of Mohammedan holiness as Mecca and Medina. Israel would have to deal with the public outrage of Western Lefties and Mohammedan faithful.
The only way that Israel could fully control the Temple Mount today is if yet another invasion by the surrounding Arab and Mohammedan nations transpire to once again obliterate Israel. Then I hope (pending an Israeli victory) someone in the Israeli government will do something to satisfy the heritage of observant Jews and expectant Christians.
One last thing: It boggles my mind that Western nations that are the cradle of Christianity do not recognize the city of Jerusalem as Israel’s Capitol city. Not even the United States of America maintains their Ambassador in Jerusalem. This is a cruel snub in the face of constant Arabic and Mohammedan attacks through the years.
I pray that peace be upon the City of Jerusalem and Capitol of the returning King Jesus (Father I pray in Jesus' Name). Yeah I know, the “King Jesus” part is not exactly the same Jewish expectation, yet the Temple Mount under Jewish control is a united Evangelical Christian and Observant Jewish goal.

We heartily join in celebrating with you and the Jewish people the reuniting of your beloved city of Jerusalem forty years ago, the most remarkable of the many 'miracles' of the Six-Day War. This was nothing short of a biblical milestone, as the Hebrew prophets had promised that one day the Almighty would return the Jewish people to the heart of Jerusalem and would comfort you here.
Yet Jerusalem remains a "burdensome stone" among the nations, as borne out by the decision of much of the international community to boycott this year's Jerusalem Day observances. It was during a similar time of diplomatic isolation in 1980, when the last remaining national embassies departed from this city, that the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem was established as an act of solidarity and comfort with the Jewish people in your ancient claim and deep spiritual connection to this city.
Today, the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem represents millions of Christians worldwide who share a love and concern for Israel based on enduring biblical principles and promises.
The Jewish restoration to Jerusalem in modern times is one of the clearest cases of historic justice ever, whereby a people longing to return to a land and a holy city from which they were violently uprooted millennia ago finally realised that sustaining dream. Yet due to Arab pressures and threats, the Jewish return to Jerusalem has been perversely turned into an immoral act. This we cannot condone!
The momentous events of June 1967 demonstrated once more that God is indeed sovereign over human history, as is declared in the second Psalm, which also affirms a glorious future for Jerusalem. We are determined to stand by your side and see you through to that time when all nations shall flow together unto Zion (Micah 4:1-2).
May we all see the good of Jerusalem in our day!
