Slanted Left American Historians Offer Revisionist History

Comments

If it is acceptable for the Bible-oriented religion of some right-wingers to evolve out of older Christian faiths, why not an institution of higher learning that is dedicated to an ever expanding search for scientific information, technological application, and better understanding?

Though a liberal education might be suspect to a right-winger, higher education is still awarding liberal arts degrees—a leftie plot I am sure.

It probably grew out of liberal thinkers getting a liberal helping of soup when they were young.

Actually a liberal (in the classic sense) is not adverse to the Christian Right, it is the penchant of Left Wing Professors and teachers that tow Left Wing ideology and revisionist history to delude people that the collective of moral relativity is superior to the moral directives of the Creator of all humanity.

A Voice you are falling for the same depravity that has transformed America to a place where people did lock doors to an America that triple locks doors and has armed guard in schools because moral relativity allows kids to do as they please without consequence.

theway2k: Namby-pamby thinking (call it neo-classic liberalism if you like) could hardly be “adverse” to anything. It does not seem very consistent to charge a viewpoint with “relativity” and then have it selectively direct to a point of your choosing.

As for the raising of children, I have great kids and great grandkids. They are responsible and law abiding citizens, great parents, devoutly religious, good neighbors, extremely successful in their careers, and are becoming great grandparents. I live in a very liberal place where there is no need to triple lock doors or have armed guard in schools.

It is a hard to understand how you conservatives can so easily screw up all of the God-given gifts that make our cup runneth over. Maybe in this world of never-ending change and blessing you are just not pragmatic enough to manage progress. Of course, one has to understand that “progress” is possible to manage it. Maybe success takes more faith than a classic conservative can muster.

theway2k: There was a parliamentary change in power as of the mid-terms election and you and your right-wing compatriots have been reduced to being members of the “loyal opposition.” The serving majority might expect that you would now reflect some loyalty by refraining from accusing others of being unpatriotic or traitorous.

Sorry, that I put this last reply in the wrong spot. I do wish to take issue with some of your comments at http://theway2k.vox.com/library/post/what-americans-must-know-about-the-incoming-senate-intelligence-chairman.html.

However, I have several things that I have to get done today, so will get back to it in time.

I grew up in a place where safety is a norm. I currently live in a metropolitan area. The public Schools are tough, even the ones considered affluent. A Voice count your blessings that you live in such a spot. My experience is that it is only in rural America or a place where the old fashioned WASP lives. The liberal benefits from Conservative values in such cases. If the area is predominantly liberal and urban and safe, I can only say, "Wow!" It is a rare place in America. Don't move for may have to find the triple locks.

Yeah right! The Democratic Party even as we speak is getting to take away free speech: http://theway2k.vox.com/library/post/democratic-party-dominated-senate-prepares-to-block-email-information.html#comment-form.

"Under Senate Bill 1 (Section 220), we would only be able to provide you information on a bill at a high cost and at great danger of being penalized by Congress."

My friend the Democratic Party is more like the Soviet/Communist Party hindering criticism to be made available by one of the powerful elements in media today: the Conservative blogger.

Air America failed so now they are trying to shut us up.

People of various political though have gained from the free exchange of ideas with others.

I do not live in a rare place in America. The patches of blight that we find in our land can be just as readily attributed to the Creed-of-Greed of neo-conservative wanna-bes as they can be attributed to anything else that is as simple as you might suggest.

I live in one the oldest and most urban areas of the state. It is also one of the most politically liberal places in the country and this tradition dates back to the time of the frontier.

Our schools are excellent and can be described as effective and caring. I do not know what you mean in boasting of having ”tough” schools. Our students here are well behaved and annually score either one or two in national assessment tests.

Your comparison of the Democratic Party with the Soviet/Communist Party is what you intended it to be, insulting. It would get you little attention or recognition here and would be considered un-American.

A short while back the city was served by a Socialist council member. She had been elected and repeatedly reelected by the highest majority that any candidate had ever received and would still be in office if she had not been asked to serve in another capacity. She is now the executive director of one of our woman’s health clinics. She has been a better citizen than either you or I will ever be—unless we change our ways.

WASP is not a term that would well describe our area. We have white Protestants, but the largest single denomination is Catholic. The community and state has a long history of tolerance.

By the way, isn’t the above cross-emblazoned flag a KKK symbol? I once read a flag pledge that aptly went with it, but maybe you alredy know it.

Like I said, be blessed for your neck of the woods.

As to the flag, God I hope not!

Being a Chrisian Right kind-of-guy, I just thought it was appropriate.

:-)
