There is a common misconception among pro-Arab American Intelligence advisors that the hatred that exists between Sunni (90%) Muslims and Shia (10%) Muslims is so horrendous that the extremists in both Mohammedan sects would never cooperate with each other.
This is the kind of advice President Elect Obama is receiving.

It is true, and anyone who thinks otherwise needs a brain transplant. Our enemy, while it craves to be a nation, is transnational. If we nuked Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Libya tomorrow, our enemy would still be attacking someone next week.
I know its not a Politically Correct thought however I believe the West (America especially) is in a war with Islamic Culture as it is represented in the Middle East. The problem is the WEST is sooooo PC it does not know or does not admit Western Culture is under attack.
The sovereign Middle Eastern nations would not admit a war with the West (maybe the exception being Iran). The transnational Islamist terrorists make no bones about it: Their desire is Global Islam under a Caliph reliving the plague of conquests of the past.
Until a nation or nations understand the quiet insidiousness of Islamic culture the West will never make a confrontation of the nature that could hinder or stop Islamic Cultural terrorism or war.
