I agree oil and money is a huge factor that is hidden from Iran's own people. However what is promoted in the Middle East is violent jihad; a violent political ideology wrapped in a religous cult.
I believe the American military should at the very least deliver crippling economic blows to Iran, Syria and the Waziristan terrorist strongholds in Pakistan. It may seem harsh, yet these people support the radical Mohammedan agendas for religious reasons. The ruling elites of rogue nations support radical Mohammedanism for political and economic reasons.
You do realize that this was from an Iranian state television channel -right? It does not represent all islamic or arabic (hell, iranians aren't even arabic) new outlets. I expect that sort of crap from Iran.

KatieKat you do realize that Shi'ite Hezbollah is in control of Southern Lebanon on Israel's northern border. Hezbollah is the lap dog of Iran and hence the Shi'ites there do listen to Iran's media.
Remarkably Hamas has been playing Wahhabist (Sunni) Saudis against Ahmadinejad's Shi'ite radical Islamism for money. Iranian Revolutionary Guards have in even been documented training Hamas Terrorists in soldier techniques and weapons firing. And so again, Iranian media is watched intently.
And in case you have had your head in the sand, the Wahhabist movement of Saudi Arabia is the Sunni version of Iran's psycho regime. Saudi Arabia executes Sharia Law (head chopping, hand slicing and stoning) just as much as Iran. The MSM and the American government fail to publicize this for their own reasons. For the MSM they are pro-Arab and anti-Israel. For the American government they are under the spell of don't embarrass your chief allies in a hostile region (especially have they have a bunch of oil).
And so you see, Mohammedans have increased their technology and have become emboldened that Israel will soon be removed from the map. This is the common mindset of dar es Islam, regardless of Sunni or Shi'ite affiliation.

I have to disagree with you about Islam. The money that controls the education of schools, mosques and madrassas come the oil money of Iran and the Wahhabi of the Saudi Arabia. It is a huge deception of so-called moderates in the West that it does not represent the mindset of the Middle East.
Saudi Arabia is the hugest distributor of text books to Mohammedan schools in America. If you go to this Washington Post article you will see it is not moderate but teaches hate and intolerance.

KatieKat in case you did not know it the Palestinian terrorist organizations and the Wahhabi Saudis are the prime provider of learning materials for Islam in America. If this is moderation, I'd hate to see what extremeism in America is.
