Interesting post. Mitt Romney's conversion seems awfully convenient, and his record seems particularly bad, but you have to remember that he was he executive of a state whose judges unilaterally imposed gay marriage and whose Senators are named Kerry and Kennedy.

As for the pro-life issue, I believe his conversion is genuine. Others may have better records, but Romney brings the economic experience and commitment to fighting our enemies abroad that is also needed in a conservative candidate. He has the sturdiest "three pillars" of all the others (except Fred Thompson, my first pick).

I've decided to go with Mitt Romney now that Fred's out. National Review gave him their endorsement months ago, and it makes sense to me.
